No

Who supplies your equipment and clothing?
We are a partner with Maverik and Cascade Lacrosse for our equipment and Adidas for our team apparel. These companies have seen the positive growth of lacrosse in the state of Georgia and they understand the effort and impact CSU has made and will make on the lacrosse community. These agreements allow our players to get discounted clothing and equipment also. Player dues help to defray some of the costs.
What kind of commitment do I have to make?
We are a serious team and a commitment from you is required. The coach will explain the expected practice dates and times before registration that way you will be able to schedule your classes. We do not expect you to miss any class time for practice. Games are usually scheduled on weekends but do occasionally occur at night during the week.
Does the team have Study Hall?
We meet at least one day a week in the first part of the semester and when it gets close to Finals we meet twice per week. Academics are important to the team and the coaches.
What is the weekly workout and practice schedule?
Fall
We workout and condition during the week. As we get ready for scrimmages, we practice 2-3 times a week and do team activities, lift weights and condition the other days of the week. After our scrimmage schedule, we will usually lift 2 days a week, condition the other days and do stick skill sessions.
Spring
This is our regular season so we practice 4-5 days a week. We also are lifting weights and conditioning.
How do I remain eligible to play
You have to be a student at Columbus State University. To play in the league you must be taking 12 hours unless you are in your graduating semester in which case you can take less. You must have no more than 3 spring semesters spent on any college lacrosse program’s roster.
What is the bottom line?
Our program is based entirely on the student. The foundation for our program is to enhance the college experience not take away from it. We operate in a "virtual varsity" model to support our players and make their stay at CSU more enjoyable. We will be considered one of the top programs in the nation.
